Hebrews 13:5, God's Promise Never To Leave Nor Forsake Us

Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

In the Greek language there is something called a “double negative.” The double negative occurs slightly less than 100 times in the New Testament (a listing of all these occurrences can be found in The Englishman's Greek Concordance, listed under μή). Although double negatives are considered bad speech in English (e.g., I ain't got no money), double negatives are proper in the Greek language, adding emphasis where necessary.

One of the most precious Scriptures in the Bible is Hebrews 13:5, our text verse above. There are 2 double negatives used and then another single negative. There are 5 total negatives in Hebrews 13:5, reassuring the Christian believer that the Lord will never, ever, no not once, never forsake nor leave us. This is a beautiful truth. God has PROMISED never, no, not ever, never, to leave nor forsake us.
The meaning is something like this: “Never, positively not! It will never happen! It's unthinkable! There is not even the slightest possibility that it will ever happen!” God will never, never leave us!

Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never [ou me - never, absolutely never] leave thee, nor [oud ou me - never, never, absolutely never] forsake thee.” No matter what happens in my life as a child of God, I have God's promise that He will never leave nor forsake me. God has indwelt every believer with the Holy Spirit, sealing us as His own. Ephesians 1:12-4, “
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit when He raised up from the dead and ascended into Heaven (John 16:7).

There are times in my life when I feel like God has abandoned me. But the Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 5:7 that we walk by faith and not by sight. So I don't follow my feelings, I follow the voice of the Scripture always. God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). God promised to never leave nor forsake me, no matter what. I am so glad that God gives us that precious assurance of His presence in our life at all times. If you feel distant from God dear friend, it is not God. Draw near unto Him by abiding more in the Word of God. Start attending a Bible-believing local church that uses only the King James Bible, and preaches a free grace Gospel (not turning from sins to be saved, surrendering all to Christ to be saved, or the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation). God is not far from any of us. In fact, God keeps us all breathing (Acts 17:25).

Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Romans 8:32, God's Promise To Give Us All Things

Romans 8:32, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

I drink lots of water with my pain medications. I am thankful each time I drink water and am often reminded of the rich man in Hell who could not receive even one drop of water in his torments, although he begged and pleaded for mercy. I was thinking today of how awesome, generous and merciful God is to the world. The Bible says that God is good to everyone. Psalms 145:9, “The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” I was thinking about the drastic contrast between what the saved verses the unsaved will experience in eternity. For the forgiven in Jesus Christ (who have received the Lord's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for their sins) ALL THINGS shall be given unto them...
Romans 8:31-33, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us ALL THINGS? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.”
In sharp contrast, all Christ-rejecters who die in their sins, which includes self-righteous religious people who die in their good works and sacramental salvation, will burn in the fires of Hell forever. They WON'T be allowed even ONE DROP of water from God...
Luke 16:22-26, “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”
It's ALL or NOTHING friend. You'll either be given your every heart's desire or else you won't be given even a single drop of toilet water to quench your suffering and torment in the flames of Hell. I can't believe that anyone would be so foolish as to sing about burning in Hell? Yet, Conan O'Brien boasts that he's going to Hell. As an Irish Roman Catholic, Conan O'Brien thinks Hell is a big joke. I've witnessed to many Catholics who don't even believe in a literal Hell. Their religion is all show-N-tell. ACDC sings that they're on a HIGHWAY TO HELL. Millions of fans worldwide sing along... I'm On A Highway To Hell!!! And they certainly are.

The worst sin that a person can commit is not murder or adultery, it is forgetting God (which leads to all other sins). Psalms 50:22, “Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.” America has forgotten God, banning the Bible from our nation's classrooms. Women all dress whorishly and seductively in public. The abortion industry has taught Americans that life is cheap. The end result is a society that doesn't care what they do to others, even children. What do you expect in a society that cheapens and exploits the human body for profits? People speak of Seven Deadly Sins, but ALL SIN is deadly! All sin leads to more sin. Forgetting God is 100% sinful pride. The Bible says God will tear those who forget Him into pieces.

God gave both northern Israel (Isaiah 40:2) and southern Israel (Jeremiah 16:18) DOUBLE punishment for their advanced stages of wickedness in society. Americans deserve FOUR FOLD the punishment for our nation's crimes against the innocent and God (and our day of reckoning is fast approaching).

It's all or nothing... what will it be for you?

God Will Give To Us All Things, Never To Be Taken Away Again

ALL THINGS shall be given unto the Christian in eternity:
Romans 8:31-33, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us ALL THINGS? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.”
Isn't that beautiful and something awesome to look forward to? God the Father is going to freely give us our heart's desire in eternity. Your favorite hobbies, foods, recreation... God will give us everything to support our interests. Just as an earthly father who wants to support his children's interests and ambitions, so also will our heavenly Father give unto us the desires of our heart.

We will have literal possessions in Heaven. In Matthew 6:20 Jesus told us to lay up for OURSELVES treasures in Heaven. The Lord promised that no thief could ever steal them. You won't have to sell and lose your home to pay for legal expenses in Heaven. You won't lose many of your personal belongings, having strangers come into your home and take away your stuff. No one will steal your car and trash it out, driving it into a telephone pole at high-speed. You won't lose your pets one day and never even get to say goodbye (after loving and feeding them for 9 years).

You won't lose nearly everything you've ever worked for in a single day. You won't lose 15 years of retirement savings in a divorce. You won't have to endure others enjoy living in your home that you once enjoyed. You won't have to endure seeing your wife (or husband) involved with another. There will be no deaths or suicides in Heaven. None of these horribly traumatic things will happen in Heaven. Here on earth they happen every day to millions of people worldwide.

The Lord promised that neither rust nor moth would deteriorate our possessions. Neither dry rot nor humidity will ruin our possessions in Heaven. It's ironic, the Lord wants us to forsake all possessions down here on earth, so we can gain all up there in eternity. I believe that we will have our beloved pets back in Heaven that will never be taken from us again. No more tears of losing everything that we ever loved or cared about... gone in a flash! No more no-win situations where we have absolutely no control, as our life is torn away from us. It won't happen in Heaven. Jesus won't allow it!

I love John 16:22, “And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.” People will never be able to hurt us again within Heaven's pearly gates and streets of gold. It will be wonderful there... more wonderful than Oz, more wonderful than Brigadoon, more wonderful than Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory, more wonderful than Somewhere Over The Rainbow! It will be a dream come true!!!

But if you die in your sins as most people will (Matthew 7:13-14), then you WON'T even be allowed a single drop of water. NOT ONE DROP OF WATER to quench your thirst in the torments of Hell. Now the Bible does mention the gnashing of teeth caused by physical pain in Hell (Matthew 13:42); but the Bible also mentions a different gnashing of the teeth caused because of seeing all that you could have had with the loving Lord, but you lost it all because of your own stupidity and short-sighted unbelief on earth. Luke 13:28, “There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.”

Can you imagine being in the Lake of Fire, knowing that there's no escape and it's forever? At least if you get life in prison here on earth, you know that death will free you; but in the Lake of Fire, it WILL NEVER END! Even after a TRILLION years, it won't even be the beginning! Are you really willing to chance that there's no Hell because comedian George Carlin doesn't think so? Are you really willing to chance that there's no Hell because some fornicating or homosexual college professor hates God and teaches youth that God doesn't exist (Romans 1:25,28)?

Jesse Ventura says that his religion is the same as George Carlin's. Jesse Ventura might as well curse God and shake his fist at Heaven above, which is exactly what Carlin did and is now burning in Hell forever. It's not a big laughing matter now to George Carlin!!! The man will burn forever, with no hope of anything good ever happening again. Is that what you want? My entire ministry online (see also Jesus-is-Savior.com and Soulwinning.info) is aimed at keeping you and others OUT OF HELL. I want you to be with me in Heaven with the righteous Lord, Who bore our sins on Calvary's tree so we could be with Him forever together (John 14:1-3), enjoying the splendors of everything good in this universe. Doesn't that sound great??? This is reality friend, and it can be yours FOR FREE, JUST FOR THE TAKING.

People get high on drugs and alcohol to escape life's problems, but the problems are still there when the drugs and alcohol wear off. I've never drank a drop of alcohol in my life and never plan to (by God's grace if I have any brains left). I've had waitresses occasionally tell me at a restaurant that a beer comes with my meal. I tell them instantly and firmly, I DON'T DRINK BEER! Give it to the Devil.

Today's Country and Rock music create a feeling of euphoria that in real life cannot be fulfilled. The music is bigger-than-life, just like Hollywood, which cannot be fulfilled in the sinful world. No wonder people are committing suicide! You CAN find fulfillment in the promises of God's Word. The rainbow testifies that God keeps His promises! The power of God rests in the PROMISES of God (2nd Peter 1:4).

Revelation 21:1-5, Promise To Make All Things New

Revelation 21:1-5, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

This is one of my favorite passages of Scriptures and promises from God in the Bible. This time will happen after the 1,000 year Millennium. In Revelation chapter 19 and 20 we read about the final overthrow and imprisonment of the Beast and the False Prophet. We read about The Great White Throne Of Judgment of all unsaved people throughout human civilization. And now in chapter 21 we read about the New Jerusalem descending down from Heaven upon the earth. This can only mean that the New Jerusalem is presently up in Heaven. This makes perfect sense, because that is where the Tabernacle of God is.

In the Old Testament, God originally dwelt among men in a tent. The Israelites would literally move the Tabernacle from one place to another, setting it up and taking it down. One of the best books I have ever read on the subject, if you'd like to buy the book online, is by Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965) called: “The Tabernacle.” It is a beautiful book that explains all about the Tabernacle and it's rich symbolic meaning. If you have struggled with the assurance of your salvation, I strongly recommend that you read this book, because it will lay a solid foundation of the entire meaning and reason for salvation. In short, the book is all about THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB. We are saved by the blood (1st John 1:7; Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24; Revelation 1:5).

The Old Testament Tabernacle was symbolic of the Tabernacle in Heaven. The Bible makes this very clear. Hebrews 8:5, “Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.” I love the book of Hebrews! Everything that happened in the Old Testament concerning the work of the high priest and the holy place, were a prototype (a pattern) of the heavenly ones. Heaven is presently a physical place. There is a physical Holy Place, and a Holy of Holies, where Jesus' physical liquid blood is sprinkled upon the Mercy Seat. This is all located in the Tabernacle where God dwelleth. This Tabernacle will someday descend upon the earth after the Millennium, and God will dwell with men forever upon the earth.

The Bible says there will be “no more sea in Revelation 21:1. The Jehovah's Witnesses errantly teach that “sea” refers to masses of people. It is always wrong to spiritualize the Scriptures to say what they don't say. Seventh-Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses alike crunch a bunch of numbers in the Bible to fabricate some strange doctrines. By crunching numbers and torturing the Scriptures, SDA's came up with the year 1844. They claim that this is the year Jesus entered into the heavenly Holy Place. Why would Jesus wait nearly 2,000 years to enter into the Holy Place? It makes no sense at all. It amazes me that SDA has a worldwide membership of 21,000,000 people. Satan is a beautiful liar! SDA's adhere to a Lordship Salvation type of redemption, which is another gospel, not what the Bible teaches.

In Revelation 21:1-5 we have God's RPOMISE that all former things shall be wiped away. The pain, loss and misery caused by our sins and failures on earth will be taken away by God forever. What a day that will be. But this means that believers will suffer tears, regret and sadness during the 1,000 year Millennium. Now we know that no believer is condemned. The Bible makes this very clear in John 3:18 and Romans 8:34. Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. A Calvinist man tried to use this passage of Scripture to justify Lordship Salvation. He said that there is no condemnation only for those believers who walk not after the flesh

As a rule we ought never use an obscure passage of Scripture to contradict a clear one. Romans 8:1 is obscure, since it can be taken different ways. But that is not what this passage means. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. We must include verse 2, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2 clearly speaks about the Holy Spirit's eternal life given through faith in Jesus Christ, versus the wages of sin which is death. If you are saved, you have eternal life because of the indwelling Holy Spirit; but that doesn't mean you always walk in obedience to the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:25, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” To say that there is no condemnation only to those who walk in the Spirit is self-righteousness! I am saved because of the Holy Spirit, Who came to live inside my body, soul and spirit by faith alone. Please don't miss that dear friend, because it is very important. Romans 8:1 is simply saying that we have eternal life in Jesus Christ, not by the works of the flesh which cannot cleanse us from sin, but by the blessed Holy Spirit Who indwells and seals every believer by faith alone.

In Revelation 21:4-5 we are promised, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” I am overwhelmed with comfort in my soul every time I read this beautiful promise from God. So much can be taken away from this passage. There will be NO MORE TEARS. There will be NO MORE SORROW. There will be NO MORE DEATH. There will be NO MORE CRYING. Dear reader, that logically must mean that Christians will cry tears during the Millennium. We will feel sorrow and regret in our resurrected bodies, for our failures to preach the Gospel on earth. 2nd Corinthians 5:10-11 says we will face “THE TERROR OF THE LORD.” Therefore, “WE PERSUAGE MEN.” That is exactly what the Bible teaches.

Now, we won't die in our resurrected bodies, but other Christians who were saved during the Tribulation period, and went into the Millennium in their mortal bodies WILL DIE. Their children born during the Millennium will die. We will weep when our friends die. Have you ever thought about this? During the Millennial period, when Christ reigns from Jerusalem over the entire earth as King of kings and Lord of lords, every believer who was saved prior to the Rapture will have our glorified resurrected immortal bodies; but all of the people saved during the Tribulation (who endured physically to survive it), and their offspring, will have their mortal bodies during the Millennium.

This will be an interesting situation. We will be immortal, but many of our loved ones and friends will be mortal. Revelation 20:6 says we will help reign with Jesus, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” There will be TWO great resurrections in the Bible. The first resurrection is comprised of 5 different resurrections for believers. I learned this great truth from Pastor Max D. Younce, my friend whom I love dearly in the faith. I have learned so much truth from him. Dr. Younce is in my humble opinion the Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) of our generation. The second great resurrection will be at The Great White Throne Of Judgment for all unbelievers (Revelation 20:11-15).

In Revelation 21:4-5, the Bible PROMISES that God will make all things new. That sounds real good to me. The former things shall be passed away. In order for our tears to be gone forever, God will need to somehow remove the memories of the past. Dear friend, if you have a criminal record here on earth, it will be burned up someday with all things in this world. 2nd Peter 3:7, “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.God will not destroy the earth with fire; but rather, He is going to PURGE the earth of all the sin, everything manmade and all therein. If you are a redeemed child of God, according to Romans 8:34 NO ONE can condemn you. You are as clean and pure in God's eyes as Jesus Christ Himself. This is called in theology, the Imputed Righteousness of Jesus Christ.

In 2019, it was big news that a fire at Universal Studios in California destroyed 100,000 original music recordings by the Eagles, Elton John, Aerosmith, The Police, Nirvana, Gun N' Roses, Yoko Ono, Eminem, Steely Dan and other famous musical artists. But dear friend, as I just quoted to you from the Bible, EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD WILL BURN ONE DAY!!! What does that say to us? It clearly says that living for this life is ultimately a waste of time!

I was driving home last night from doing some exercise. I had my music blasting (I love loud music). I saw a funeral procession turn the corner, as police cars directed the traffic. I turned my radio down, as I always do, showing respect for the dead. But I noticed something very interesting as the long hearse turned the corner, while I was waiting at the red traffic light—THERE WAS NO U-HAUL BEHIND THE HEARSE!!! Huh, what do ya know about that, you can't take it with you after all! Yes, that is right dear friend, when this life is over you won't be able to take even $1 with you. You won't be able to take your favorite toys, clothing, jewelry, et cetera.

When Playboy founder Hugh Hefner (1926-2017) died, he left behind an exotic mansion worth $113,000,000. When Apple computer guru Steve Jobs (1955-2011) died, he left behind a staggering estate worth $10,200,000,000. Wow, that's a lot of cheddar! Sadly, neither of these men died IN THE LORD (Revelation 14:13). Steve Jobs was a devout Buddhist, which rejects Jesus as the Christ. Hugh Hefner was an agnostic, not sure what he believes, but he knew in his own heart that whatever he did was right in his own eyes, just so long as it didn't hurt anybody. That was his Satanic philosophy on life. I am soooooo glad and thankful to be a born-again Christian!!! I am so fortunate and blessed to be ONE OF THE FEW people who ever get saved.

It is not that I am special, or chosen by God, or anything like that; but rather, it is simply because I trusted Jesus as a 13 year old boy as my Savior. John 5:40, “Joh:5:40: And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” Steve Jobs and Hugh Hefner refused to come to Jesus, because of their love for sin (John 3:20). And by the way, everybody thinks that the opposite of John 3:20 is turning away from your sin to be saved, but that is wrong. If we simply read the next verse in John 3:21b we find the answer... BUT HE THAT DOETH TRUTH cometh to the light...Repentance is not from sin, but “to the acknowledging of the truth;” (2nd Timothy 2:25). Repentance is a change of mind, acknowledging THE TRUTH that you are a guilty sinner (Romans 3:19-20), believing the Gospel to be saved (1st Corinthians 15:1-5).

The wonderful time is coming dear reader, after the Millennium, when God shall wipe away all tears, and there will be no more pain, no more night, no more sin, no more evil, no more Devil to hurt people, no more sickness or death, no more sorrow or suffering. I cannot even imagine such a beautiful time, but we have God's solemn PROMISE in the Scriptures. Someday all the FORMER THINGS shall be passed away. We have a bright future in Jesus Christ, so bright in fact that someone said we need to wear sunglasses... lol. I like that. I don't know about you, but I rejoice to know that I am on the winning side in my God and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for reading this. Have a good day. Jesus is precious!!!!

2nd Timothy 1:7 - Power, Love And A Sound Mind

Mark 5:15, And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. Acts 4:13, Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. 2nd Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Psalm 18:30, “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Proverb 2:7, “He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

Oh dear reader, please do not mistake my boldness in preaching for arrogance and pride. I preach with boldness simply because I HAVE BEEN WITH JESUS (Acts 4:13). The demon possessed maniac of Gadarenes was later found sitting IN HIS RIGHT MIND when He met Jesus. Dear friend, if you'll give God your heart He'll comb the kinks out of your head! I cannot encourage you enough to delve into the Word of God. Our precious Lord exhorts us in John 5:39-41, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men.Jesus Christ is the answer to ALL your problems!!! Jesus exhorts us to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES to learn of Him.

Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) used to call Jesus and the Bible twins.” The Bible is the Written Word; Jesus is the Living Word. John 1:1-3 and 14, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Jesus is the Word of God Who became incarnate (flesh). Jesus is not only the personification of the Word of God, JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD!!!

I have sincerely sought to make peace with the Harvest Baptist Church of Guam since 2014. I am not their enemy, I am their friend. A friend helps you to see. What saith the Scripture? Proverb 27:5, “Open rebuke is better than secret love.” There are plenty of suck-ups in the Bob Jones crowd, who will tickle your ears and scratch your back to get along; but I am a truth-teller, willing to make myself vulnerable for speaking THE TRUTH. A true friend doesn't withhold the truth, worried that they might offend you. No, they tell you THE TRUTH. They will likely do it reluctantly, concerned of losing your love and fellowship, but they WILL tell you the truth if they love you. Jesus told the truth, and it cost Him popularity. John 8:40, “But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.” John 8:45, “And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

I love the pastors, staff and people at Harvest Baptist Church of Guam. I am rude at times in my preaching, I admit. My frustration comes out at times, showing simply that I miss being part of their church group. They were my family for a year in 2013-2014. I hadn't been that happy in 20 years. But Harvest's pastors yanked the carpet out from under me, because I loved them enough to TELL THE TRUTH. I bought several hundred dollars worth of books by fundamentalist preachers to open their eyes. One of the excellent books I gave them was by Pastor Al Lacy (1933-2016) titled, 'NIV: The Antichrist's Bible.' The truths which Dr. Al Lacy teach apply to ALL of the modern Bible versions, showing how corrupted they are by Satan. The communist country of Cuba had enough discernment to reject a free shipment of 17,000 New International Version (NIV) Bibles, but America's dumb dumb pastors embrace them!

Another book I freely shared with Harvest's pastors is titled, 'I NEVER KNEW YOU,' a very needful book by Evangelist Michael P. Bowen. I love this book so much for defending the simplicity of the Gospel of free grace. Friend, if you have a problem with this book's primary message, which is salvation by faith alone in the Good News of Jesus Christ, you are not saved!!! Oh how I love you Harvest Baptist Church of Guam!!! I truly do. Please pardon my rude preaching at times, I am simply trying to help you. What saith the Scripture? 2nd Corinthians 11:6, “But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.”

I do not claim to be a good Christian. I do not have a single fault! You read correctly. I do not have a single fault—I HAVE MANY FAULTS!!! I have plenty of faults, sins and rough edges. I am definitely a diamond in the rough. The only good thing about me is Jesus in me (Galatians 2:20). I do want to be a better Christian. I tell my adult children: “Don't be like me, be better than me.” Children follow the example set forth by their parents. That truth haunts every caring parent. My adult children represent the best and worst of both their Mom and Dad. Thankfully, our heavenly Father is perfect, and we don't have to worry about Him letting us down.

The Bible promises the Holy Spirit to every believer. That is why the Holy Spirit is literally called, THE SPIRIT OF PROMISE. Ephesians 1:13-14, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.Isn't that beautiful? God PROMISES the indwelling Holy Spirit to everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ.

God Has Promised Every Believer A Sound Mind

Along with the Holy Spirit, God has PROMISED every believer the spirit of POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND. 2nd Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.Harvest Baptist Church of Guam is not of a sound mind, lacking having the sound doctrine of Christ. Any theology which does not offer the immediate absolute assurance of salvation is wrong! Kindly said, Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014), heretically said to 2,700 Bob Jones University students and faculty on January 26, 2015:

“You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)

Dear reader, Dr. Steve Pettit was inspired by demons when he said that! Salvation is not an award that you must qualify for. Salvation is a miraculous new birth in response to one's faith alone in Jesus Christ. Receiving God's free gift of eternal life (Romans 5:15-18; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9) is not something that you “WIN” to obtain. Salvation is NOT a race! According to Mr. Pettit, you cannot KNOW that you are assured of Heaven until the end of life, after you have labored faithfully to RUN THE RACE. This is a 100% false gospel, based upon human self-righteousness, and not the imputed righteousness of God by faith alone in Christ. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

Sadly, BJU is corrupt theologically. Satan has crept in, taken control of the pulpit, and BJU is the fountainhead today of the Westcott and Hort Greek. Along with corruptible seed you get corrupt doctrines!!! Mark Twain was so right, who said: “What one generation tolerates the next generation will embrace.” Our Bible colleges are the main source of heresies today creeping into the churches!!! The most dangerous place for a Christian is in Bible college. You show me a preacher who denies the inspiration and infallibility of the King James Bible, and I'll guarantee you that he was messed with in some SEMINARY that shook his faith in the Holy Bible!!! Pastor Jack Hyles admits that theologians from seminary had him messed-up as a young preacher!!! I tell you that the King James Bible is inspired, perfect and infallible!!!

If the Bible today is not perfect and infallible, then God is a liar, because He PROMISED in Psalm 12:6-7 to keep and preserve His pure Word forever!!! If God's Words are no longer very pure (perfect - Psalm 119:140), then they have not been kept and preserved. What good would inspiration be, if God's inspired perfect Words lost their perfection and inspiration as men mishandled the Bible over the centuries? It would totally defeat the purpose of God inspiring His Word. Inspiration simply means that they are God's Word, not man's. I am tired of hearing preachers attack the King James Bible, falsely claiming that it is the best but not infallible. If that be true, then inspiration means absolutely nothing!!! This is why every modern Devil's Bible dishonestly remove God's solemn promise from Psalm 12:6-7.

Dear reader, and you are dear to my soul, God has given us a sound Bible today. How can any believer have a sound mind if we have to search through a dozen different Bible versions to find the truth? Is it the truth? Which rendering? Do you just pick and choose your favorite Bible? Sadly, I literally heard Pastor Marty Herron at Harvest Baptist Church of Guam apologize to his church congregation one day. It was a Sunday morning and he was surfing the internet during the special music. Afterwards, Pastor Herron told everyone that he wasn't surfing the internet, he was searching through different versions of the Bible to prepare his sermon. Oh boy! That's ridiculous folks.

Pastor Jack Hyles makes this very important observation, about the psychological damage being caused by the never-ending rash of new Bible translations being published:
“You'd be shocked if you knew, how the versions of the Bible that are coming out, which are so unnecessary and not even Bible. You'd be shocked if you knew what they're doing to cause Christian people to feel subconsciously unstable. You'd be shocked if you knew what it's doing to the nervous system of our people! All these Bibles!” —Pastor Jack Hyles, MP3 sermon, “Don't Chase The Pendulum.”

God promised a sound mind to every believer, but the Devil is going to have you confused and going all different directions of you let him! Stick to the King James Bible, and throw all that modern garbage away. Burn your English Standard PERversion (ESV).

God Has Given Every Believer A Spirit Of Love

Harvest Baptist Church of Guam has written me off. Some people would say that I should just quietly go find another church, which is exactly what Pastor Marty Herron told me in 2017. But I was in love with their school nurse, Kris, and she only attended Harvest...lol. What do you mean, “Go elsewhere.” Not a chance Buster Brown! I'm not going anywhere! When an independent Baptist church is so drastically different doctrinally, that they want you to go elsewhere, SOMTHING IS VERY WRONG IN CHRIKSTENDOM!!!

I mean, there is only ONE BIBLE, right? (Matthew 4:4). There is only ONE GOD, right? (Deuteronomy 6:4). There is only ONE MEDIATOR, right? (1st Timothy 2:5-6). There is only ONE GOSPEL, right? (Galatians 1:6-9). There is only ONE CHURCH, right? (1st Timothy 3:15). So why in the world would the pastors of Harvest Baptist Church on Guam tell me to go find a different church that agrees with me? Folks, humbly said, I am a graduate of Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993). I have an earned Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Theology. I also have an earned Master's Degree in Theology from Christian International Ministries (CIM). I only enrolled in their school because my father earned his theology degrees from them, so I trusted them. I did all the work to earn a Doctorate Of Ministry degree from CIM, but when Bill Hamon preached alongside Benny Hinn, I'd had enough and forsook those devils.

My point is that I am 100% Independent fundamental Baptist in my doctrine, yet I am not welcomed at the Harvest Baptist Church of Guam. The reason why is because they are incompetent pastors, who have been corrupted by Calvinists. Pastor John MacArthur boasts of being a 5-point Calvinist!!! That is so horrible. Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) refutes all 5-points of Calvinism. Calvinism is of the Devil, all 5 points. John Calvin (1509-1564) was an infidel in the pulpit, who is infamous for literally murdering 58 people who disagreed with him doctrinally. So much for living a changed life as proof of salvation!!!

Dear friend, God has not given us the demonic spirit of fear, corrupt doctrine or weakness. The Bible says I can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST, which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” I am a very loving man. I wish the Harvest Baptist Church of Guam wouldn't shun me away. I truly am not their enemy. They have missed out on having a good friend all these years. I will be the first to admit that I am not perfect. I am a perfect sinner! I get a bit emotional sometimes, because I am a passionate person with a big heart, a preacher's heart. When I attended Harvest for a year in 2013-2014, I cried often in church. My friends often saw my face covered in tears after the church service. I wept like a baby during the Lord's Supper, feeling so unworthy. Jesus is worthy (Revelation 5:4-9). Amen! WORTHY IS THE LAMB!!!

I loved my church family. In 2017 I fell in love with Abby the moment I saw her moving the neighbor's lawn. I've wanted to date and marry her ever since, but she won't have anything to do with me because of the tense situation between Harvest's pastors and me. This is all on them, not me. I have always expressed a sincere desire to befriend them. The big problem is that Calvinism (aka, Lordship Salvation) is NOT compatible with grace. Calvinism is not compatible with the Gospel!!!

I love you all in the Bob Jones camp. God knows that I am simply trying to help you. Calvinism perverts God's grace and must be rooted out and exposed. John Calvin was a modern-day Cain, trying to impress God with his self-righteousness. If you have to look at your life to prove that you're saved, it just proves that you're not. I didn't say that, God did! Romans 4:4, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.” Let him that hath eats to hear, hear. To God be the glory. I love you all. 1st Corinthians 16:24, “My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Proverbs 1:20-33, Promise Of Blessings From Wisdom

Proverbs 1:20-33, “Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.  Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

This is perhaps the most important passage in the Bible, albeit there are no unimportant Scriptures. My favorite verse in the whole Bible is Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. That simply means to maintain your thought life. It means to guard and protect your heart. It means don't allow sinful thoughts of lust, hatred, revenge, committing a crime or other foolish ideas to have place in your soul. Proverbs 24:9, “The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.We all desperately need wisdom. I don't care who you are, you absolutely need God's wisdom. A mother at home with her children needs God's wisdom, to raise them as arrows to shoot against the Devil (Psalm 127:4). A wife needs God's wisdom to draw her husband closer to God, by her own wifely submission (1st Peter 3:1). Nothing will drive a man away from God faster than a rebellious wife who refuses to submit (Proverb 12:4).

I love the book of Proverbs. I have never heard anyone teach this, but I think Solomon wrote the Proverbs to teach all his children. Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Can you imagine how many children he must have had? I think it is safe to say that the old horney goat king had thousands of children! What a shameful testimony! Solomon wasn't very wise was he? No man is wise who married 700 wives! Volumes of books could be written on this subject. Think about how lonely his wives must have been, having intimacy with your husband once a year, if that. Solomon was a very selfish man. No woman deep in her heart of hearts wants to share her husband with another woman.

When the Bible speaks of Solomon's wisdom, it is secular wisdom, not godly wisdom. Likewise, Donald Trump is a very wise man in the business world. I think he was a great U.S. President and I miss him. I am sad that he didn't win re-election in 2020. However, I agree with Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) that Mr. Trump's success is not good success in God's eyes. If you'd like to hear the sermon in which Dr. Hyles says this, it is called: 'I Don't Want To Be A Success.'

Wisdom crieth from the housetops and in the streets. Knowledge is truth. Skill is knowing how to use truth. Wisdom is knowing what to do with truth. Heresy is a perversion of truth. Apostasy is a departure from truth. Proverb 13:18, “Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.” The Bible promises life, safety and happiness from obtaining God's wisdom. Proverb 3:13, “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.”

Let me share something a bit philosophical with you. I think it is safe to say that everybody wants to be happy. But have you ever thought about finding happiness in deciding not to be happy? What if I decide to be unhappy? What if I decide that I like being unhappy? Then I can be at peace with myself. The secular world has convinced everyone that if we are not happy something is wrong with us. Is that really true? If I am happy not being happy, then there is nothing wrong with me is there? I speak wisdom. To be quite honest, I am not a happy man.

A survey of one thousand 50 year old men learned that only 12% said they were happy. I can relate to that. A whopping 88% of 50 year old men are not happy in life. I lost my good health at age 37, learning that I have permanent Cervical Degenerative Disk Disease (stenosis, radiculopathy and displaced disk). I lost my former wife at age 39 when she abandoned and divorced me. Consequently, I lost my 3,500 square foot paid home at age 42 and have rented an apartment since. I underwent two major neck surgeries in 2009-2010 with no one by my side; I wanted to die.

I finally found happiness at Harvest Baptist Church of Guam in 2013-2014, making new Christian friends, loving my church, and I thought I had found a wife when the nurse Kris liked me. My happiness was suddenly ripped away from me in November of 2014, when Harvest's pastors forced me out of the church for telling them THE TRUTH—the truth that Lordship Salvation is a perversion of the Gospel, the truth that Bible repentance doesn't mean “turn away from your from sin” to be saved, the truth that the modern Bible revisions are corrupt Devil's Bibles. As Ephesians 4:15 says, I spoke THE TRUTH in love!

Tragically, and it sincerely saddens me, I was speaking in the ears of fools at Harvest:

Proverb 23:9, “Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

Proverb:17:10, “A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

Proverb 16:2: “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.”

Proverb 16:5, “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.”

Proverb 1:29-32, “For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Proverb 26:12, “Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.”

Proverb 26:16, “The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.”

I have been preaching and uploading sound doctrine for decades now, since 2002 when I began my humble website ministry. Yet my preaching against the apostasy at Bob Jones University and the Harvest Baptist Church of Guam has fallen upon deaf ears. They are fools. It is interesting that the Bible says a fool won't listen, even if SEVEN MEN can render a reason, because there are about seven free grace preachers that I regularly promote:

  1. Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001)
  2. Pastor Ralph 'Yankee' Arnold
  3. Pastor Max D. Younce
  4. Pastor Bob Gray Sr.
  5. Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995)
  6. Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951)
  7. Pastor Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008)

Yet, the arrogant pastors at HBC and the proud Bible professors at BJU are wiser in their own eyes than these wise preachers. Ecclesiastes 12:9, “And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.I am eating a spiritual Smorgasbord today. My mother Barbara Jean Stewart (1935-2001) was born and raised in Sweden. She came to America at age 13 with her mother, after my grandfather went to Heaven. I've been listening to the book of Proverbs all day. I put the video on “loop” so it will play over and over. I don't know about you, but I need God's wisdom so much!!!

One of the great joys in my Christian life is answering emails and writing articles. Proverb 15:23, “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!It is my joy to teach the Scriptures, and to give godly advice. I am very careful, now more than ever before, to ensure that my advice is 100% biblical. I welcome questions and if you have problems, please let me help you through it. I don't claim to have all the answers, but the Bible does! I do not have any special insight, but I do have THE MIND OF CHRIST (1st Corinthians 2:14-16). Proverb 28:5, “Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.Amen and amen! The King James Bible says: “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant” (Matthew 23:11). When web visitors or Facebook friends brag on me (and I sure appreciate it), I always simply PAY IT FORWARD to my dear Savior. Jesus is worthy, I am not.

We are hearing much heretical teaching in Neo-evangelical churches today about “repent of your sin” and “turn away from your sin” to be saved. Seventh-Day Adventism (SDA) teaches that in the year 1844, Jesus entered into the heavenly Holy Place to begin His work of Investigative Judgment (a theological term exclusive to SDA). Miss Ellen G. White (1827-1915) is the most revered prophetess in the SDA false religion. Tragically, Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014) and the Lordship Salvation crowd preach THE SAME damnable heresy that you must “repent and turn away from sin” to receive God's free gift of eternal life.

This passages reminds me of the Bob Jones University crowd and Harvest Baptist Church of Guam...

Proverb 1:29-32, “For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.”

Since 2014 I have taken a godly stand against the falsehood of Lordship Salvation. I have taken a godly stand against the falsehood of MI understood Repentance. I have taken a godly stand against the falsehood of the modern Bible revisions. Yet for speaking THESE TRUTHS, shewing forth righteousness as the Bible says, I have been hated, shunned, ostracized and abused by the Bob Jones gang on Guam. Harvest Baptist Church on Guam won't even let me attend church, nor go to men's prayer meeting, because I am telling THE TRUTH.

How do you think God feels about this? Am I supposed to just go find another church, like looking for a different McDonald's restaurant? Should I just quietly go away while they corrupt people's minds and send young people to the Lake of Fire? Should I just pretend like there isn't a problem? Only a fool would let this matter go. As a child of God I am obligated to SPEAK UP FOR GOD!!! Ephesians 5:10-11, “Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

I am stuck in limbo, without a church family, while a bunch of incompetent Bob Jones pastors continue to drive HBC into the ground. But you say, this is not a Christlike spirit. On the contrary, I am being VERY Christlike. What did Jesus say about the hypocritical religious leaders of His generation? Matthew 12:34, “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” Matthew 23:33, “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” The Lord literally called them SNAKES!!!

That is exactly what today's Lordship Salvation preaching pastors are, serpents, who prey on the weak and vulnerable doctrinally, taking their money to damn their souls to Hell forever. Harvest Baptist Church of Guam and Bob Jones University have much blood on their hands, as does the Moody Bible Institute camp, and Liberty University, and Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, Masters University and any institution that propagates another gospel. If the shoe fits, wear it!!! The only plan of salvation taught in the King James Bible is a free grace Gospel, which teaches that you CAN have the absolutely instant assurance of salvation, simply by believing on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 16:30-31, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

100 Reasons For The Believer's Eternal Security

John 10:28-29, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”

The only kind of life that God gives is eternal life. God does not give temporal life or probationary life. The doctrine of eternal life is not a separate doctrine from eternal security, they are one and the same teaching! The man who has eternal security also has eternal security. He is assured 100% of God's salvation. God promises “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” (1st Corinthians 1:21b). Here are one hundred truths from the Bible proclaiming the eternal security of the born-again believer:

100 Reasons And 100 Scriptures Proving Eternal Security...

By Pastor M.L. Moser, Sr.
1. The believer has eternal life.
John 10:28, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
2. The believer has everlasting life.
John 5:24, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
3. The believer cannot perish.
John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
4. The believer is kept by the power of God.
1 Peter 1:5, "Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
5. The believer is born of God.
John 1:12-13, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
6. The believer has been passed front death unto life.
John 5:24, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
7. The man who believes shall be saved.
Acts 16:31, "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
8. The believer has been saved.
Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
9. The believer is hid by God in Christ.
Colossians 3:3, "For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God." Can the devil find that which God hides?
10. The believer will follow Christ.
John 10:27, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." Following Christ can one be lost? Have we any right to add to God’s word by inserting "if" to the passage?
11. The believer is God’s sheep.
John 10:2-4, "But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice."
12. The believer will not follow a stranger.
John 10:5, "And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." If the sheep follow Christ and will NOT follow a stranger, how can they become lost?
13. The believer will not listen to the voice of a stranger.
John 10:5, "And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."
14. The believer will flee from a stranger.
John 10:5: "And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." Who is the STRANGER in this passage? Is the STRANGER not SATAN?
15. The believer is known of God.
John 10:14, "I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine." Compare "I never knew you" of Matthew 7:23 spoken to the lost. "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." To the believer Christ says, "I know my sheep"; to the lost, "I never knew you."
16. The believer listens to the voice of the shepherd.
John 10:27, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."
17. The believer is in Christ’s hand.
John 10:28, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
18. The believer cannot be plucked out of Christ’s hand.
John 10:28, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
19. The believer is in the Father’s hand.
John 10:29, "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand."

20. The believer cannot be plucked out of the Father’s hand.
John 10:29, "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand."
21. The Father is greater than all.
John 10:29, "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand." The reference here is certainly to the keeping power of the Father.
22. The shepherd is charged with the responsibility of the sheep.
John 10:11-14, "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine." Some argue that no one can separate the believer (the sheep) from the shepherd, but that the sheep can wander away. What about the wandering lamb of Matthew 18:10-14, "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. For the Son of Man is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish." What kind of shepherd would let his sheep wander off? Is not the shepherd there for one purpose and one only—TO KEEP THE SHEEP?
23. The believer is not condemned.
John 3:18: "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
24. The believer shall not come into condemnation.
John 5:24, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death
unto life."
25. There is now therefore no condemnation for the believer.
Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
26. The believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1:13, "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise."
27. The believer is sealed for a definite time.
The day of redemption, or the resurrection of the body. Ephesians 4:30, "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."
28. The believers continue with God.
I John 2:19, "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." The proof of the believer is his continuance. False professors fall out by the way. Had they been true believers they would have continued.
29. The believer liveth and abideth forever.
I Peter 1:23, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever."
30. The believer is dead to sin.
Romans 6:2, "God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?"
31. ‘The believer will appear with Christ in glory.
Colossians 3:4, "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory."
32. The life of the believer is Christ’s life.
Colossians 3:4, "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory."
33. Since Christ cannot die again, the believer is eternally secure.
Romans 6:9-10, "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God."
34. The believer shall never thirst.
John 4:14, "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
35. The believer Will keep Christ’s commandments.
John 14:23, "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."
36. The believer saved by faith not works.
Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
37. This faith is a gift from God.
Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
38. The believer is not saved by what he does, but by what Christ has done for him.
Titus 3:5, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Romans 4:5, "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

39. Salvation is a gift, not a wage.
Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord ."
40. The believer’s hope is a living hope.
I Peter 1:3, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
41. The believer’s hope will not fade away. Will not grow dim.
I Peter 1:4-5, "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
42. The believer’s hope is reserved, (set aside) in Heaven for him.
I Peter 1:4, "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you."
43. The believer’s inheritance is incorruptible.
I Peter 1:4, "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you."
44. The believer’s inheritance cannot be defiled.
I Peter 1:4, "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you."
45. The believer is kept through faith.
I Peter 1:4-5, (See reasons number 36 & 37) "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
46. The believer to be revealed in the last time.
I Peter 1:5, "Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
47. The believer is secure because of Christ’s prayer.
John 17:9-12, "I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world; and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled."
48. The believer shall never die.
John 11:26, "And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
49. The believer to be kept from the evil.
John 17:15, "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil." Jesus prays that the believer may be kept from the Devil. Was this prayer answered?
50. The believer to be with Christ in glory.
John 17:24, "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world."
51. The believer shall never hunger.
John 6:35: "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
52. The believer will in no wise be cast out. (Not under any circumstances:)
John 6:37, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
53. Christ will not lose a single believer.
John 6:39, "And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day."
54. The believer is more than a conqueror through Christ.
Romans 8:37, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."
55. Christ will raise up the believer at the last day.
John 6:38-40, "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."
56. Whosoever eats the bread of life shall never die.
John 6:51, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
57. The believer justified by faith, to be saved from wrath.
Romans 5:9, "Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."
58. Nothing can separate the believer from Christ.
Romans 8:38-39, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." There is nothing in death that can. There is nothing in life that can. There is not an angel that can. Good angels would not, bad angels cannot. Principalities cannot. Satan is head of principalities of darkness. Powers cannot. Satan is Prince of the powers of the air. Things present cannot separate. Things to come cannot. Heights cannot. There is nothing above that can separate us. Depth cannot. There is nothing below that can separate us. Nor any other creature. NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.
59. Christ will complete salvation until the end.
Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
60. The believer to be preserved spirit, soul and body.
I Thessalonians 5:23, "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
61. God cannot lie.
Titus 1:2, "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began."
62. Jesus is able to save unto the uttermost.
Hebrews 7:25: "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."
63. The believer is born of incorruptible seed.
I Peter 1:23, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever." Can the devil corrupt that which God says is incorruptible?
64. The believer to be like Christ.
I John 3:2, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
65. The believer is perfected forever.
Hebrews 10:14, "For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified."
66. The believer believes unto the saving of his soul.
Hebrews 10:38-39, "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."
67. The believer made righteous through Christ’s obedience.
Romans 5:18-19, "Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."
68. Because all things work together for good to the believer.
Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
69. Because the believer is so helpless that he cannot place his sins upon Christ.
God must do it for him. Therefore salvation is by grace. Isaiah 53:6: "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
70. Because Christ did not come to help us, but to save.
Luke 19:10, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."
71. Because the Holy Spirit abides in the believer forever.
John 14:16-17, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."
72. Because God, not being a man, cannot lie.
Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
73. Because His mercy endureth forever.
Psalm 136. Twenty-six times in this Psalm it is written "His mercy endureth for ever."
74. Because it is the Father’s will that Christ should lose nothing.
John 6:39, "And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day."
75. Because the believer has not yet borne the image of the heavenly.
I Corinthians 15:49, "And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly."
76. Because the believer is preserved unto the heavenly kingdom.
II Timothy 4:18, "And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever."
77. Because the believer is the object of God’s mercy, not His wrath.
Ephesians 2:4, "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us." John 3:36, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." I Thessalonians 5:9-10, "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live  together with him."
78. Because a sealed and witnessed transaction is final.
Ephesians 1:13, "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise." Sealed with the Spirit. Hebrews 10:15, "Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us." Witness of the Spirit.
79. Salvation is obtained, not attained.
Hebrews 9:12, "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."
80. Because the believer is a new creation. Created in Christ Jesus. Therefore eternal in righteousness. Ephesians 4:24: "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."
81. Because the Father reckons the sinner: Dead with Christ, Buried with Christ, Raised with Christ, Romans 6:3-5. Seated with Christ, Ephesians 2:4-6. Romans 6:3-5, "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection." Ephesians 2:4-6: "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
82. Because all believers will be changed at Christ’s coming.
I Corinthians 15:51,52: "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
83. Because of the "MUST" of I Corinthians 15:53.
"For this corruptible MUST put on incorruption, and this mortal MUST put on immortality."
84. Because the power of God is not limited.
Matthew 28:18-19, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." I Peter 1:5, "Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
85. Because one cannot be unborn.
John 3:5, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
86. Because the saints are preserved forever.
Psalms 37:28, "For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off."
87. Because Christ will raise every believer up at the last day.
John 6:44-47, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life."
88. Because nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.
Romans 8:35, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" (The answer "NO" is demanded by the passage to the question).
89. Because the believer overcomes the world.
I John 5:4, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."
90. Because it is the believer’s faith that overcomes the world.
I John 5:4, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
91. Because God will not forget the believer
Isaiah 49:15, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee."
92. Because the new covenant in His blood, is an everlasting covenant.
Jeremiah 32:40, "And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I wilt not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me."
93. Because the believer has ceased from his own works.
Hebrews 4:10, "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."
94. Because it is God that works in the believer.
Philippians 2:13, "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."
95. Because we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:10, "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
96. Because God’s promise that through the offering of Christ He will put away the believer’s sins, and will remember them no more.
Hebrews 10:17, "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."
97. Because the believer has already been redeemed. (Past tense.)
I Peter 1:18-19, "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."
98. Because of the record that God hath given.
I John 5:10-11, "He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself; he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."
99. Because the believer’s salvation is begun and finished by Christ.
Hebrews 12:2, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."
100. Because salvation is by grace, and not by any mixture of grace and works.
Romans 11:6, "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
101. Because salvation IS salvation.

The Spirit Of Promise

Ephesians 1:12-13, “That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard ...
