2nd Corinthians 1:20, All God's Promises Are Fulfilled In Jesus

2nd Corinthians 1:19-20, “For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

What a beautiful passage of Scripture! All of God's promises to man are rooted in faith in Christ. Romans 8:32, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Dear friend, when you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, all the blessings of God comes “WITH HIM.” We receive the blessed promise of eternal life immediately when we get saved. Our names are preserved in Heaven, recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life. We are indwelt and sealed in an instant, by faith alone in the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

1st John 5:20, “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” We don't earn eternal life, God gives it to us freely by faith alone in His Son. All of God's promises center around Christ. No unsaved person has any right to claim the promises of God.

I get tired of hearing bad preachers teach the heresy of Zionism. What is Zionism? This is the false teaching that unsaved Jews are still blessed by God, and that believers who give money and support to heathen present-day Israel will be blessed by God for doing so. That is unbiblical. Luke 21:24, “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” As you just read, Jerusalem has NO promise of divine protection today. Israel could be nuked by Russia tomorrow, and it would not violate Bible prophecy.

God's blessings have ALWAYS followed a line of faith from the beginning of human civilization. God has NEVER blessed Christ-rejecting Jews or Gentiles. God is no respecter of persons! In the Old Testament, we see that God blessed Jacob for his faith, but not carnal Esau. God raised up pagan nations to judge His people when they disobeyed. There was never a time when God blessed wicked unbelieving Jews (Exodus 19:5-6). Likewise today, God will not bless wicked Jews or Gentiles. God only saves those who believe on His Son (John 3:18).

Galatians 3:26-29, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Carefully notice that ONLY those Jews and Gentiles who believe in Jesus Christ are of Abraham's seed, and heirs according to THE PROMISE. Here we see our text verse from 2nd Corinthians 1:20 explained. 2nd Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” All of God's promises are only applicable to Abraham's spiritual seed, to those who have faith in Jesus Christ. Have you been born-again dear reader? There are billions of religious people in this world, hundreds of millions of which live the Christian life, but have never been born anew by the Holy Spirit of God.

What does the Bible mean by being “born again”? John 3:7, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Evangelist Ray Comfort gets it horrible wrong, who says being born again refers to a radical change in one's behavior. On page 1529, under the commentary section, “How Can You Know That You Are Saved?,” 'The Evidence Bible' states:

Christians believed in God's existence before their conversion, however, when they obeyed the Word of God, turned from their sins, and embraced Jesus Christ, they stopped merely believing. The moment they reached out and touched the heater bar of God's mercy, they moved out of belief into the realm of experience. This experience is so radical, Jesus referred to it as being born again. [emphasis added] SOURCE: The Way of the Master Evidence Bible, by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron, page 1529; ©2003 by Bridge-Logos Publishers.

May I say, being born again is NOT an “experience.” Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron wrongly understand being “born-again” as an EXPERIENCE that involves forsaking one's sinful lifestyle and “EMBRACING” Jesus Christ. Ray Comfort gets this idea from an errant understanding of James 2:19, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” Many foolish Bible teachers misinterpret James 2:19 to mean that simple BELIEF on Christ is insufficient to be saved. This is not what the Bible is saying here. It simply means that no one is going to Heaven just because they believe there is a God.

This is why Jesus told His disciples in Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” You can believe in God all you want—you can serve Him, go to church, tithe, sacrifice and do good all your life, and then go straight to the Lake of Fire forever to burn!!! Jesus said, “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).

What did Jesus mean by “born again?” The question is answered in John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” When you were born the first time into the world, that was of the flesh; but the new birth (or second birth) is when the Holy Spirit of God comes inside your body to indwell you (upon your faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ). Being “born again”? means that you have been born into God's family! Whereas all men are born spiritually DEAD from birth (Romans 5:15), in order to enter into the Kingdom of God a person must be born for the second time, spiritually (John 3:6-7). The first birth is PHYSICAL, earthly; The second birth is SPIRITUAL, by the Holy Spirit of God (John 1:12-14).

Biblically, mere childlike BELIEVING is all that God requires to be saved. This is what Jesus said in John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”

In Mr. Comfort's thinking, being born again means moving from the realm of merely believing in God, to the realm of leaving one's sinful ways and clinging to Christ. Mr. Comfort recognizes this as an EXPERIENCE, which to him means being born-again.

The Word of God teaches something entirely different. A person is “born again” by the Holy Spirit of God, which is initiated by mere childlike belief in Christ's death on the cross for our sins, His burial and resurrection three days later. The Bible defines this as the “Gospel” in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4. Whereas 'The Evidence Bible' teaches that a transforming “radical experience” is what it means to be born-again, the Holy Bible teaches that it is the transforming power of God's Holy Spirit that produces the new birth . . .

John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

It is a false plan of salvation to explain the new birth as a mere transforming experience. Any radical transformation is wrought solely by the Holy Spirit of God. It is heresy to require an experience, a radical change, or some transformation from a person in order to be saved. This is because eternal life is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation is a TAKE proposition, not a GIVE proposition. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved. It is the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit that changes a person, and not our own human effort.

Ray Comfort understands salvation backwards. He requires a person to commit to leave their sinful lifestyle, and embrace Christ, which is the “radical experience” he requires from people to be saved. Biblically, you don't have to embrace Christ to be saved, you simply need to believe on Him. That's what the Bible teaches. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Although a person may or may not express emotions at the time of salvation, emotions are not required for salvation. Neither tears, nor any outward manifestation of inner changes, nor a desire to serve God, nor forsake sins, nor any radical experience is necessary to receive the free gift of eternal life. Furthermore, forsaking one's sinful lifestyle is NOT what it means Biblically to “repent.” Repentance is “changing one's mind,” that is, realizing and acknowledging one's guilt of sin for breaking a holy God's commandments (Romans 3:19). The only thing you need to repent of to be saved is whatever has been hindering you from coming to Christ to be saved (Hebrews 6:1). The man who BELIEVES the Gospel has repented, otherwise he never would have come to Jesus Christ to be saved (John 3:20). Our part in salvation is simply to BELIEVE on Jesus Christ, and whatever else is a part of our salvation is solely God's department, and you can be assured He will attend to that.

When a group of religious people appeared before Christ in Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus denied knowing them as His sheep! They were bewildered. They boasted in defense of themselves that they had done “many wonderful works” in Jesus' name. They had “prophesied” (preached) in Jesus' name. They had followed Him as “Lord.” But Jesus denied knowing them!!! Dear friend, will that be your fate someday? It will if you follow the Satanic teachings of Bob Jones University, who preach another gospel of Lordship Salvation. Right doctrine matters! Words matter to God. These horrible Bible colleges today, and the corrupt churches that support them, don't care about the purity of God's Word, nor the accuracy of the Gospel, nor the true meaning of repentance, nor do they care about how they treat people. Search the internet for abuse in the Bob Jones University camp and you'll see what I mean. I digress.

All of God's promises are fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Apart from faith in Christ NO ONE can enter into the Kingdom of God. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!!! Once you become a child of God, you are now a card carrying member of Heaven's family. You are included! You are known by the angels and the saints in Heaven. Jesus is precious!!!

1st Peter 5:7, God Cares About You

1st Peter 5:6-7, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

I love this precious passage of Scripture. I have to be honest, I don't always feel like God cares about me. In fact, I often feel like God doesn't care at all, because He doesn't seem to answer my prayers, and I cannot find a wife, and the local Baptist church hates and rejects me over my stand against fake Bibles, Lordship Salvation and misunderstood repentance. I get frustrated. But I learned long ago from 2nd Corinthians 5:7, “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” That means I am not supposed to judge God based upon WHAT I SEE OR DON'T SEE, but upon His promises in the Holy Bible. Our text verse from 1st Peter 5:7 teaches that GOD CARES about me. So that is what I always go by, and not how I feel.

Like God, I am a caring person. When you walk with God, you start to care about things. Psalms 119:104, “Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.” The reason why the Bob Jones University crowd (and millions of other Neo-evangelicals) don't care anymore about truth or people, is because they have adopted the Devil's Bible revisions. When a religious person is okay with multiple conflicting Bibles, it evidences loudly that they don't care. The truth doesn't really matter to them. The accuracy of the Bible is not important to them. ...

Words Are Important To God Too!

Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” The very fact that a Bible college, church or pastor would sanction multiple different English Bibles, which say different things inside, is cause for great alarm!!! Yet, today's apostate churches keep hiring these incompetent graduates from these stupid Bible colleges full of ignoramuses like Bob Jones University and Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary. Other colleges like The Crown College, Hyles-Anderson College and Pensacola Christian College choose to remain neutral in the work of God, A.W.O.L. from the battle of the ages over the infallibility and inspiration of God's Word. Silence is cowardly!

I care dear reader, which is a curse as much as a blessing in my life. I haven't had a church family since 2014, because the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam drove me out, and to this day still ostracize me as their enemy, because I TOLD THE TRUTH like the Apostle Paul (Galatians 4:16). God will vindicate me, which is my prayer day and night against Harvest for their cruelty, wickedness, arrogance and rejection of THE TRUTH!!! Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Harvest's day of reckoning is soon coming, and I can't wait (Matthew 12:36; 7:21-23; Luke 13:23-24; Titus 1:10-13).

I care and that makes me sad oftentimes, because few people care as I do. I go to the store and see shopping carts left by customers in the parking lot. I always grab, not one, but two carts to return to the store, since I am going that way anyway and have two hands. When I see a restroom that is filthy, I clean it up. I often see paper towels overflowing in the garbage, so I take my arm and push them down into the trash, and then wash my hands. I care. I don't know anybody else who does these things. Harvest certainly doesn't care. Their church members are probably the ones leaving their carts in the parking lot, and messing up the bathrooms. A person's attitude toward little things overflows into every area of their life.

Should it be surprising that I also care about the purity of the Holy Bible? Should it be surprising that I also care about the accuracy of the free grace Gospel? Should it be surprising that I also care about the true meaning of Bible repentance for salvation? I think not. When I see a careless person who doesn't care about little things, I know they aren't a good spouse, nor a good Christian, and they are lacking in good character. Caring is the hallmark quality of a Christian who is right with God. It is because I CARE that Harvest Baptist Church on Guam rejects, ostracizes and ignores me, because THEY DON'T CARE. They are wrong on the Bible, wrong on the Gospel, and wrong on repentance. They bid Godspeed to devils in the pulpit like Dr. Steve Pettit and Pastor John MacArthur, sanctioning and supporting their wicked ministries that damn people to Hell. The blood is on their hands, not mine.

Yes friend, it is important that YOU CARE like God cares. When you care you do something to MAKE A DIFFERENCE, you don't merely go along to get along. I am a stickler for safety. When I see something unsafe, I make a fuss. Few people care or do anything. At the medical clinic on Guam where I go, I have mentioned to three different nurses over the past 5 years that the weight scale in the end hallway is 2 pounds too high, and needs to be calibrated. None of them care! It doesn't frustrate me as much that the scale is wrong, as their indifferent attitudes. That is 99% of people sad to say. Not me buddy, I CARE!!! Damn it I CARE!

God cares. If you don't believe that, it is only because you are walking by sight instead of by faith. WALK BY FAITH!!! What did Jesus say? Mark 11:22b, “Have faith in God.” If Isaac had gone by the voice of Jacob his son, instead of by what he felt (he felt Esau's hairy arm, a fake animal skin used to trick him), Isaac wouldn't have been deceived by Jacob and Rebekah. What a wicked thing those two family members did, to deceive the father like that!

Do you care friend? I CARE! I care too much sometimes and it gets me into trouble. Caring gets me kicked out of Baptist churches. Caring causes people to get upset with me when I tell the truth, make a fuss, or do the right thing. So be it. Somebody's got to care!!!

Genesus 8:22, God's Promise That The Seasons Won't Cease

Genesis 8:22, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Ecclesiastes 1:4, “One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.”

I love the boldness of God's promises in the Bible. As long as there is an earth, the seasons will not cease. We read in Ecclesiastes 1:4 that the earth will abide FOREVER! That is another promise from God. The earth will be burned over with fire at the end of the 1,000 year Millennium (a time when Jesus reigns as King over the earth), which will be a time of remodeling. 2nd Peter 3:12-13, “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” Everything in this world is going to burn baby! Sorry, I've been watching too much TV. 

Think about it friend. This world is going to become a giant bonfire! Every industry music recording will be burned. Every Hollywood movie will be burned. All of the recorded talent will be gone in a day. The Beatles' music will all be burned up, ceasing to exist. Everything that any human being ever wrote, built, recorded or preserved will be BURNED UP!!! The only things that will last is what we do for Christ, which brings eternal rewards. I love these quotes from some famous missionaries...

Did you know dear reader that the Bible contains 7,487 promises from God to man? In his classic 1962 book titled “All The Promises Of God,” Dr. Herbert Lockyer (1886-1984) says that Professor Everett R. Storm concluded that the Holy Bible contains 7,487 PROMISES made by God to man:

The word “promise” appears more than 100 times in sacred scripture. One thousand promises are listed in “What the Bible Says about Praise and Promise.” Thousands more are listed in Samuel Clarke's two-hundred-year-old classic, “Precious Bible Promises.” Some have suggested that there may be as many as 30,000 promises contained in Scripture. Herbert Lockyer, in his volume “All the Promises of the Bible,” tells the story of Everett R. Storms, a schoolteacher in Canada, who made a detailed study of promises.

According to “Time,” Storms, of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, reckoned the figure of 30,000 to be too high (since it is roughly the number of verses making up the Bible: 31,173). During his twenty-seventh reading of the Bible, a task which took him a year and a half, Storms came up with a grand total of 8,810 promises (7,487 of them being promises made by God to humankind).

My friend, when life gets difficult, and bad things happen, and you feel like you cannot face another day, and you cannot see your hand in front of your face, and it seems that all hope is gone—CLAIM THE PROMISES OF GOD!!! Friends will betray you. Family will let you down. Money will fail you. You cannot even rely on yourself, because you will get discouraged at times. But God will NEVER disappoint you. That is what the Bible means in Romans 10:11, “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”

When we come to the New Testament, all the promises of God are fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth. 2nd Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” The genius of the gospel is that everyone can share in the promise by faith alone in Christ. Hallelujah! Ephesians 3:6, “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.” God is more than awesome!

Our text passages is a PROMISE from God that day and night will continue, cold and heat will continue, summer and winter will continue, and seedtime and Harvest will continue. There was an insane article which appeared in the national news in March of 2021, saying that the U.S. government over the next 5 years will spend upwards of $200,000,000 to explore ways to block the sun's light, in an effort to combat the alleged 'Climate Change' problem. Personally, I agree with John Coleman (the Weather Channel's founder) that Global Warming is a big hoax.

According to the U.S. government's Housing And Urban Development department, there are roughly 600,000 homeless people in the country. Think of how much help $200 million could give the homeless! The government could buy each of them a full sized home at market price! I think it is shameful and a travesty of justice that our federal, state and local governments always have money to spend on everything except help for those who need it most. What is wrong with our country? And then hypocritical Americans sing, “God Bless America!”

Genesis 8:22, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” I think of this promise in the Bible from time to time, remembering that God always keeps His promises. I love rainbows, which are a frequent reminder that God keeps all His promises. Foolish scientists are worried about the earth's temperature continuing to rise. Historical patterns of El Nino (ocean cooling) and El Nina (ocean warning) have shown 100 year periods of above or below average temperatures. The so-called “proof” of Climate Change is ridiculous. Weather extremes began being recorded a couple centuries ago, and were made to be broken. So it shouldn't be surprising that we see new records being broken here and there. Wacky liberals exploit these norms in setting new records in a lame attempt to cry that “the sky is falling.” They are LIARS!

The Holy Bible promises that the seasons would always continue. Day and night will continue. Heat and cold will continue. Summer and winter will continue. The changes that we see in weather patterns is normal. God said that these changes would continue, as long as the earth exists, and the Bible says that the earth will stand FOREVER!!! Seedtime and Harvest will continue. When you plant a seed, it will grow, and then be ripe during Harvest. God made creation that way.

The wonderful and amazing science of genetics proves the existence of God. When I go to the grocery store, I marvel that anyone could ever foolishly deny the existence of God. Only an ungrateful person toward God, sanctions the junk science of evolution. The teaching and acceptance of evolution is a serious crime against God and the truth (1st Timothy 6:20). You have to choose dear friend, whether you are going to believe the PROMISES of God in the Holy Bible, or whether you are going to believe the lying claims of ungodly evolutionists. Our God is such a good, loving and wonderful God. The Lord has made the gift of eternal life free, easy and simple, so that the only proper punishment for those who reject His free gift of love, is for God to allow them to go to the only other place they can—eternal damnation in HELL.

I Corinthians1:21, God's Promise To Save Them That Believe

1st Corinthians 1:17-21, “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

After I humbly graduated from Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993) with much gratitude for the opportunity to attend such an awesome place, I went to voluntarily work with my father's Rescue Mission on Chicago's northside, at the Grace Mission Church. I was my father's assistant pastor between 1993-2001. I preached each Sunday at the mission. My heart burned with truth, and I started writing my brochures to hand out to people, trying to find more ways to get the truth out. One day my father read one of my articles and said, “I didn't know you have the gift of writing.” I had never considered my ability to write as a “gift” from God, but hearing that from my biological father meant the world to me, and even more today nearly 30 years later. I thank God for giving me the “gift” of writing. To God be the glory (John 15:5).

Having said that as introduction, this blog will probably be the most important article I've ever written. Dear friend, I share the same heartfelt sentiment as the Apostle Paul in Romans 10:1, “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” Paul wanted to see people get saved, not just the Jews, but all men. Our great God desires for ALL MEN to get saved. 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 

This wonderful Bible verse clearly refutes the Calvinist false teaching of “Limited Atonement” (the heresy that Jesus only died for certain people, Christians). Since Calvinists believe that Jesus only died for a select few, this heresy consequently begets another false teaching called, “Irresistible Grace” (the heresy that God forces those chosen people to be saved). As we just learned in 2nd Peter 3:9, God desires “THAT ALL” should repent (change your mind) and believe the Gospel to be saved, not just a select few. God only chooses (the elect) those who first choose Christ as their Savior. We don't choose Christ because God chose us, God chose us because we trusted Christ. Calvinism is all its tenets is a lie!

God wants you to be saved friend. That is why this article is so important. There is nothing more important in this universe than where you will spend eternity. I have read countless biographies of famous people, from Jackie Gleason to Freddie Mercury to George Harrison, who were all insatiably curious about the afterlife and researched the subject intensely. Tragically, the Gospel of Jesus Christ was foolishness to them, and so they passed right over it, looking for something else. 2nd Timothy 3:7, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Dear reader, THE TRUTH is the Gospel (the GOOD NEWS) that Jesus is the Christ, Who died on the cross in your place and mine (to pay for our sins). Jesus was buried. And then three days later, by a miracle of God, Jesus resurrected physically from the dead. These three things comprise “THE GOSPEL” (1st Corinthians 15:1-4; John 19-20). Anyone who comes to God as a guilty sinner in need of redemption, by faith receiving Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for his or her sins, is saved instantly, irrevocably and eternally. It is the free gift of God (Romans 5:15-18, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). You'll never hear anything in your life more important than what I just shared with you. I have given you, dear friend, the keys to Heaven. You can have all your sins forgiven, right now, just by BELIEVING on the Son of God.

Friend, you'll hear the popular lie in many corrupt churches today, that says you must turn away from your sins to get to Heaven. Other lying pastors will tell you that you must turn from your sins to prove the reality of the genuineness of your faith. None of that is THE TRUTH! The truth taught in the Holy Bible is that is that you and I must be 100% absolutely perfect, sinless in every way, in order to get to Heaven. Turning away from your sin won't suffice. You can turn away from 99.9% of your sins, and still burn in Hell for all eternity without rest or hope. So you see, being 99.999999999% perfect isn't good enough for God. You absolutely MUST be 100% sinless and righteous in every aspect. 

But you say, who can do that? Exactly friend! No human being of our own accord can achieve that level of righteousness. That is why we read in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” The glory of God is total sinlessness!!! I cannot do that, and neither can you. That is why we need a SAVIOR! Please read the beautiful Scripture that follows Romans 3:23...

Romans 3:24, “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”

I love the simplicity of the Word of God. Dear reader, take a look at those precious statements! We are saved through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD (not through water baptism, works, Lordship Salvation, church membership, turning from sins or anything else). We are saved FREELY BY HIS GRACE (not by doing WORKS to prove our sincerity). We are saved by HIS RIGHTEOUENSS (not by our own self-righteousness, nor running the Christian race to prove the reality of the genuineness of our faith). The Word of God speaks so plainly! Beware of the false gospel of Bob Jones University, Marty Herron, John MacArthur, Steve Pettit, Chuck Phelps, Daniel Phelps, Sam Horn, Gary Walton, Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, and other Calvinists today who pervert God's saving grace). The Devil is a beautiful liar! 

Satan always comes to the unsaved religious man and says, “Salvation is by grace alone through faith, but you must do WORKS to prove that your faith is genuine.” Satan says, “Live the Christian life to prove the validity of your faith, and if you fail to faithfully endure until the end in holiness and faith, you cannot go to Heaven!” Consequently, salvation instead of being a free gift that you can claim instantly, with all assuredness and confidence based upon God's promise “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” (1st Corinthians 1:21b); becomes a journey of fear and uncertainty, because you must strive (“run the race”) to earn the “award” of “Heaven itself” (these are Dr. Steve Pettit's exact perverse words as preached at Bob Jones University on January 26, 2015).

Dear friend, you must trust Christ alone to be saved. Roman Catholics profess faith in Christ, but they are still not saved, because they ADD keeping the Seven Sacraments. Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Church of Christ, Lutherans and Seventh-Day Adventists all ADD water baptism to be saved. These are all false religions, accursed by God for preaching another gospel (Galatians 1:6-9; 3:1-3; 5:4; 6:7). Salvation is obtained ONLY by faith alone in Christ. You mustn't ADD anything, or faith is no longer faith. 

And tragically, the Devil's Lordship Salvation crowd ADD “turning away from your sin” to be saved, which is a perversion of the Gospel of free grace. God is not impressed with your “many wonderful works,” nor by your preaching in Jesus' name, nor by your following Christ as “Lord” (Matthew 7:21-23). Jesus said we must do “THE WILL OF MY FATHER,” which according to John 6:40 is to “BELIEVE ON HIM” (Jesus Christ) alone to be saved. BELIEVE on Christ now dear friend, and you are saved! BELIEVE the Good News that Christ died on the cross in your place, He was buried, and three days later Jesus raised up from the dead for our justification. The justification of our faith in Him, which is not in vain.

God promises to SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE.

Genesis 12:3, God's Promise To Bless Obedient Abraham

Genesis 12:1-3, “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” 

It was in today's world news that militants in Gaza said they had fired 130 rockets into Israel in response to an Israeli air raid which destroyed the al-Sharouk tower in Gaza City. The tower, which is the third tall building to be destroyed by air strikes this week, housed al-Aqsa TV, the station run by Hamas. Sadly, this type of hostility and bloodshed has existed for millenniums between the Jews and Arabs. The Middle East is ground zero for Bible prophecy today. Biblically, Israel is the center of the world. All eyes are upon Israel today!

I was making my daily social media rounds today. On Twitter I noticed a disturbing comment by Pastor Jared Young of the Clays Mill Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. I am not attacking Brother Young. I am a big fan of their church, and I love and fully support Pastor Jeff Fugate. They are good and godly men. Albeit, I totally disagree with this statement Pastor Young made on Twitter today about Israel:

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem & Israel! #IStandWithIsrael 

Genesis 12:3, “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

Psalms 122:6, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.”

What saith the Scripture? Luke 21:24, “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” The Bible doesn't give manmade present-day Israel any special promise of divine protection from God. The bombing going on in Palestine today, whether for or against the Israeli government, has nothing to do with Bible prophecy. Israel today is no different than any other heathen nation.

Pastor Jared Young has bought into the deception of Zionism, a common misunderstanding of the meaning of Genesis 12:3. God's promise to bless those who bless Abraham, and curse those who curse Abraham, were made ONLY to Abraham. Yet, many preachers errantly teach that God promised to bless anyone to blesses any Jew, and to curse anyone who curses any Jew. Nothing could be further from the truth. What saith the Scripture? ...

Exodus 19:5-6, “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.”

Clearly, God's promise of blessing to the Jew was CONDITIONED upon obedience. God's promise of blessing has always followed a line of faith in the Bible. There was never a time when unbelieving Jews were blessed of God. We see this with Esau. God did not bless wicked Esau as He did righteous Jacob. Pastor J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) said it very well concerning present-day Israel. God blesses those who obey Him. It is the Christian believer, and not the biological or ethnic or cultural or national Jew, whom God blesses. Mark 9:42, “And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.” Carefully notice that Jesus said the promise of God's favor is upon them who BELIEVE.

John the Baptist rebuked the Jews for thinking they had special rights and privilege with God. Matthew 3:9, “And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” John the Baptist forever rebuked the idea that Jews are better than Gentiles, or that Jews have their own special covenant with God to get to Heaven (the garbage Evangelist John Hagee teaches). Jews must be BORN AGAIN, just like Gentiles (John 3:1-7).

God never promised to bless unsaved Jews, nor to bless those who bless them. God promises each INDIVIDUAL person the same covenant He made with Abraham in Genesis 12:3. Psalms 34:7, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” There is no promise in the Bible for God to bless a heathen nation like Israel today. The teaching that God will bless churches for blessing pagan Israel is of the Devil. Less than 3% of Israel's inhabitants today profess Christianity. Where did the unbiblical idea that God would bless a nation of unsaved Jews originate? It is a fabrication of Zionist heresy rooted in dispensational mumbo-jumbo. Read Deuteronomy chapter 28, to learn about God's promise to either bless or curse the Jews, conditioned upon obedience.

So, kindly said, Pastor Jared Young is teaching Zionist heresy. I didn't write this blog to refute Pastor Young, but to refute Zionism. If Israel were to be nuked off the earth tomorrow, it would be 100% in line with Luke 21:24. Luke 21:24, “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” The Times Of The Gentiles will end (be fulfilled) when Jesus returns at His Second Coming. Until then, Israel is a sitting duck during hunting season! Hosea 3:4-5 teaches that only when the Jews repent and return to God, will the Lord regather Israel. Many of the Jews have returned to the land of Palestine, but they have not yet returned to God. 

Psalms 1:1-3, Having Certainty In An Uncertain World

Psalms 1:1-3, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

I receive thousands of emails each year from people, who share their burdens and family problems with me. I love helping people. I don't judge others. I keep things confidential. To hundreds of hurting people, I am their pastor. I thank God for using a humble broken sinner like me to help others hurting broken sinners. All we have is each other as believers. If we don't love and pray for each other, God knows that the world isn't going to do it. Psalms 1:1-3 is the answer folks. So many people are miserable in life. I wish with all my heart that they would take the Bible seriously, and learn to enjoy and stand upon THE PROMISES OF GOD. The Bible is a book packaged full of promises from God to man. It is then a matter of FAITH.

You show me a Christian who's letting life's problems overwhelm them, and I'll show you a Christian low in faith. One of my favorite preachers is Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold. I love this guy! I heard a recent sermon by Dr. Arnold called: 'More Miles, More Trials.' I encourage you to listen to this sermon, as it will help you with your daily Christian walk. Pastor Arnold says life is not a matter of how big our problems are, but how big is our God? I love that! Yes Sir!

2nd Corinthians 5:4-9, “For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.”

In these uncertain times, as believers we ought not be shaken in the least. Our God is still on His throne. Everything's all right in my Father's house. John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” BE OF GOOD CHEER!!! I receive thousands of emails each year. I get quite a few Christians who are miserable. I have been there, and am there, but dear friend, I AM OF GOOD CHEER!!! In my suffering, emotional and bodily pain, loneliness and loss, I am rejoicing that MY NAME IS WRITTEN IN HEAVEN. Life is not a matter of how big your problems are, it is a matter of how bog your God is! My God is bigger than any problems I have ever had. God is never confused like I am often. God is never tired like I am often. God is never forgetful. I forget things all the time, but nothing ever occurs to the Lord. Our God is immutable, incapable of changing (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8).

Hebrews 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” The Bible teaches us as believers to LOOK TO JESUS, the Author and Finisher of our faith. The reason why so many Christians are miserable, discouraged and quitting on God is because they are LOOKING TO THIS WORLD. Colossians 3:1-3, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” 

Get your mind off of the daily scuttlebutt in the news. Get your mind off of the critics in your life. If you don't purposely think about something good, your sinful heart and mind will gravitate toward doom and gloom. That is why we are taught in Philippians 4:8 to think on things that are true, pure, lovely and of good report, if there be any virtue and praise. You won't find much of that in anything that the world has to offer. The world accepts fornication as the social norm, which is not virtue. Much of what we hear in the mainstream news are distorted lies. I stay happy by listening to Bible preaching, abiding in the Scriptures, exercising, eating healthy meals, musical instruments and soulwinning. People write to me, bent out of shape and worried over the course of this world. Folks, the world has never obeyed God, which is why the world is such a horrible mess (1st John 5:19). So it doesn't rattle my cage that American society is breaking down before our very eyes. Honestly, I'm surprised we've made it this far. 

I live in my own little world, above the clouds, setting my affection on heavenly things (Colossians 3:1-3). Let this world rot, by their own choosing. I help whom I can, those who will listen to the truth, but I remain unspotted from the world as the Bible teaches. James 1:27, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” The world's problems are the world's problems. Joshua exclaimed in Joshua 25:15b, “...but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” If the world won't listen, that is their own fault (John 15:19). Revelation 22:11, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” We all make our own choices in life, and live and die by them (Proverbs 4:23).

The biggest problem today are deadbeat Neo-evangelical pastors, those who bring worship into the churches and leave off soulwinning. Not one verse in the Bible teaches us to go to church to worship God. The church is supposed to be a place for believers to encourage one another, comfort each other, build up families and reach lost, hungry and hurting sinners for Christ. It is imposters in the pulpit like Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, Charles Phelps, Sam Horn, John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, Paul Washer and Gary Walton who are destroying the churches, running them into the ground...

Matthew 4:4, We Will Always Have Every Word Of God

Deuteronomy 8:3, “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.” Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Matthew 4:4 is a quote that Jesus made from Deuteronomy 8:3. The Bible is very clear that mankind is to live by “EVERY WORD” of God. That is what “inspiration” means, that is, that the words of the Holy Bible are God's Words, not man's words. When some ignorant Bible professor or unlearned pastor tells you that the King James Bible is not inspired, he is a liar. When they tell you that only the “original autographs” of the Bible were inspired, they are liars. Pensacola Christian College are liars! Bob Jones University are liars! Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary are liars! Hyles-Anderson College are liars (since 2008 when they changed their position on inspiration). Pastor Jack Hyles absolutely believed and preached that the King James Bible is inspired. Listen to Dr. Hyles say it for yourself!

Ladies and gentlemen, if Matthew 4:4 is true (and it most certainly is), then somewhere in this world today we absolutely must have EVERY WORD of God almighty. Psalms 12:6-7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Since the Devil has published literally hundreds of English Bible revisions since 1881 (the year Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort introduced their new translation to the world), which all disagree to some extent with each other, ungodly Bible translators have completely removed God's promise from Psalms 12:6-7 to preserve and keep His inspired pure Words. It was the biggest crime of the 20th century!

Dear reader, if you read English and don't have a King James Bible, you don't have an inspired Holy Bible!!! Look at the insanity in most churches today...

The Insanity Of Supporting The Modern Devil's Bible Versions

There is not a more corrupt, shameful and wicked group of people in the world than the arrogant, haughty and degenerate Bob Jones University crowd. They officially use, sell and promote the English Standard Version (ESV), seen in the above photo comparison of today's insane variety of perverse Bibles, all changed merely for copyright purposes. BJU not only sinfully bids Godspeed to this evil, they relish and promote it.

Should it be surprising that the news is filled with horrible stories of BJU's staff abusing both active and former students? I think not. The rotten Harvest Baptist Church on Guam is a microcosm of BJU's abuse, cult like social structure, hateful spirit, lack of compassion for imperfect people, and wicked self-righteous attitude. BJU today teaches hardcore Lordship Salvation, having gone entirely to the Devil's side, damning men's souls to Hell. Bob Jones University never changes things until they're exposed and embarrassed into it. Sad. A former female student who was raped by a student of a different college, was expelled from BJU when she reported the horrible crime to BJU staff. Shame on Bob Jones University!!!

I read in the news today that 33 former homosexual Bob Jones students are suing the U.S. government for continuing to give tax-exemption to BJU. That shows you just how bad, worldly and apostate BJU has become, when sodomites are enrolling into their college. Why would a homosexual enroll into a so-called “Christian” college? It's not difficult to understand when you stop and realize that all BJU cares about in recent decades is making more money. They offer nursing programs, and all other kinds of secular job courses, to prepare students to earn a living, not the serve Lord. So anytime money takes precedence over serving Christ, you get a bunch of Catholics, homosexuals and unsaved worldly youth enrolling instead. I cannot warn everyone enough about staying away from Bob Jones University!

Jesus reiterated the words of Moses in the Bible, that man cannot live without EVERY WORD of almighty God. BJU doesn't even know which Bible version to use!!! They sell a half dozen different revisions, and refuse to proclaim any one of them as THE HOLY BIBLE! It is sickening. BJU is a disgrace to Christendom in 2021, and has increasingly become a disgrace ever since Dr. Bob Jones Sr. went to Heaven in 1968. “Dr. Bob” as they called him was a godly man, a contender of the faith, and 100% correct on the free grace Gospel. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. would have drove these damned Lordship Salvation preaching infidels today like Steve Pettit right out the college door!!! If you are okay with the Dr. John MacArthur crowd, bidding him Godspeed as does Steve Pettit and BJU, then you need to get saved my friend!

We have EVERY WORD of God today in the inspired King James Bible. Anyone, like Evangelist Sam Gipp, who says that we don't is a bold-faced liar! You'd be shocked if you knew what these modern Bible revisions, which aren't even necessary, are doing to unnerve people in the churches, causing much confusion. Millions of unsaved people are being deterred away from the truth of the Gospel, because of all the confusion caused by having hundreds of Bible versions to choose from. Satan is the author of confusion, not God (1st Corinthians 14:33). Ladies and gentlemen, we have an EVERY WORD Bible today, in the inspired King James Bible. If you subscribe to the erroneous idea that God authored dozens of Bibles, then you won't take any of them seriously, and I wouldn't blame you one bit.

God promised in Psalms 12:6-7 to preserve and to keep His PURE WORDS unto every generation forever. Psalms 119:140 calls them “VERY PURE” Words. Don't you tell me that the military, companies, universities and scientists use exact terms, but God just tossed out some ideas, and then left those thoughts open to sinful man's interpretation, whims and whatever political agendas dictated that time in history when those translations were penned. The Bible doesn't command us to live by EVERY THOUGHT of God, but by EVERY WORD. God said what He meant, and He meant what He said. All of these new perverse Devil's Bibles remove the offensive word “sodomite,” but you'll find that correct word in the inspired King James Bible. Sodomites are of the Devil. “Gay marriage” is an evil fraud, blasphemy against the Holy Bible. Homosexuality will always be gross immorality, abnormal and a sin.

I wouldn't give you a dime for imposters in the pulpit today like Steve Pettit, John MacArthur, Sam Horn, Marty Herron, Kevin Bauder, Gary Walton and Charles Phelps—all hard core preachers of Lordship Salvation. These ungodly men all preach “another gospel” (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4; Galatians 1:6-9; 3:3-1) of partial faith in Christ plus human reformation (turning away from your sins, which is works) and not a simple free grace Gospel.

Titus 1:2, God's Promise To Save Them That Believe

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” 1st Corinthians 1:21, “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” Titus 1:2, “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”

Dear friend, if you've ever paid attention and taken heed to any of my blog articles, please make it this one. My heart is broken daily because of what has happened to thousands of churches across America, especially independent Baptist churches. My favorite preacher and mentor of the faith, Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) warned everyone repeatedly that heresy is creeping into our fundamental churches by the hour, and he was so right. I love and miss Dr. Hyles and greatly encourage you to listen to his sermons.

Please consider that the reason the Gospel of John was written was to teach men the way of salvation. John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” Literally, the Gospel of John is God's Gospel tract. In the book of John we find the word “believe” mentioned 85 times, but the word “repent” is not mentioned even once. There is no mention of the phrase “turn away from your sin” to be saved. There is no requirement to pray, confess Christ publicly, get water baptized, partake of communion, speak in tongues, do good deeds or anything else. We are simply taught to BELIEVE. 

How simple is that friend? I absolutely love the following passage of Scripture, which proclaims that the Gospel is simple. 2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” The Apostle Paul was deeply concerned that the church at Corinth might be led astray by another gospel, another Jesus or another spirit. Little did Paul know that it was the churches at Galatia that he needed to worry about (Galatians 3:1-3). If the early churches were at risk of being doctrinally corrupted, then we are certainly at risk today in the 21st century.

Sadly, thousands of churches have been corrupted. I have been an independent fundamental Baptist all my life, since I was gloriously saved by grace through faith alone at age 13. I am familiar with Baptist circles more than other faiths. It is tragic what I see today in our religious institutions and churches. Today's apostate Bible colleges are the primary source of heresy creeping into thousands of churches, particularly Baptist churches. Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin, Bob Jones University in South Carolina, Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary in Iowa, Harvest Baptist Bible College on Guam—these are all Devil's colleges today, indoctrinating young people to believe that we don't have a perfect, infallible, or inspired Bible today; and preaching the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, which is another gospel unable to produce the new birth. It is no light matter.

Repeatedly in the Word of God eternal life is promised TO THEM THAT BELIEVE. 1st Corinthians 1:21, “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” If more than believing the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ were required to be saved, then the Bible would have said so. Jesus said what He meant, and He meant what He said. John 14:2a, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you...” If Hell is not a real place where Christ-rejecters are tormented in fire without mercy, then Jesus lied in Luke 16:19-31. Jesus is God (John 1:1-3, 14; 8:58; 10:33), and God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). 

I am so sick and tired and upset, that the Satanic lie of Lordship Salvation is so commonly accepted in thousands of churches today. The famous preacher John Wesley (1703-1791) rightly said: “What one generation tolerates the next generation will embrace.” Instead of exposing and refuting Pastor John MacArthur, Bob Jones University, Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, Harvest Baptist Church on Guam (and other wicked people and groups today), most churches are tolerating and going along with it, which is obscuring the Gospel.

Let's pause for a moment and define what exactly is “Lordship Salvation.” First I will give you the free grace Gospel truth, and then explain the heresy of Lordship Salvation:

1. FREE GRACE GOSPEL - The inspired King James Bible teaches a free grace Gospel. The Gospel means “Good News.” It is the GOOD NEWS that Jesus died on the cross to pay your debt of sin and mine. Jesus was buried. Three days later He resurrected physically from the dead for our justification (i.e., our faith in Him is not in vain). These three things comprise the Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Anyone who acknowledges being a guilty sinner in God's sight, and believes the Gospel is born-again immediately, irrevocably and permanently. Nothing else is required to have eternal life. Jesus paid it all, we owe Him nothing (Acts 13:39). The Apostle Paul says it is our reasonable service to lay down our lives as a living sacrifice to serve Christ (Romans 12:1), but this is sanctification and has nothing to do with justification (salvation). Once saved always saved (OSAS). You can KNOW that you are saved, even if you choose to live a lifestyle of sin which greatly displeases God (Romans 5:20; 1st Corinthians 3:11-15; 5:1-5). The free grace Gospel demands repentance (a change of mind) TO believe for salvation. Repentance and faith are two parts of one act.
2. LORDSHIP SALVATION - Faith alone is not enough to get to Heaven. If you claim to believe in Christ as your Savior, embracing the Gospel as the truth, you are not really saved if you continue living the same way you did before you were saved. Advocates of Lordship Salvation (Ray Comfort, John MacArthur, Paul Washer, Charles Lawson, Marty Herron, Steve Pettit, et cetera) all preach that if you are still living a lifestyle of willful sin you've never repented, and faith alone is not sufficient to save without repentance (turning away from your sins) to be saved. You must exchange all that you are for all that Christ is. That is the deal offered by Lordship Salvation. You must receive Jesus as your Savior and your Lord (Boss), surrendering your will to follow Him no matter what the cost. Anyone who claims to have faith in Christ, but does not faithfully run the race (live the Christian life in service to God) is denied eternal life. Lordship Salvation demands false repentance (turning away from your sins) AND faith. Repentance and faith are two separate acts.

As you can see, there are very clear and distinct differences between a free grace Gospel and Lordship Salvation. The former requires merely resting in the finished redemptive work accomplished by Christ through the cross of Calvary. The latter in addition requires human effort to reform (cleaning up one's life of sin) to be saved. The latter is another gospel, which is of the Devil, and cannot produce the new birth. Anyone who dares to allege that these two gospels both fall within the realm of orthodox theology have been inspired by demons!

The Gospel of John is our only go-to passage of Scripture necessary to show someone how to be saved. Jesus simply told us to believe on His name. John chapters 19 and 20 record the glorious death, burial and bodily resurrection of our blessed Savior. John 3:20-21 says that whosoever loves committing evil (deliberate sinning) won't come to the light of THE TRUTH to be saved. That is what repentance is about. 2nd Timothy 2:25 confirms this truth.

Nearly everyone who emails me in an attempt to justify the heresy of Lordship Salvation takes Hebrews 6, Luke 13:5 Galatians 5:4 and other passages out of context. They completely ignore the message of the Gospel of John, which is simply to believe to be saved. On the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, the Bible says 3,000 people were saved as they heard the Apostle Peter preach the Gospel, who gladly received what they heard (Acts 2:41). 

In Galatians 3:1-2, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” I love that! Here we see the simplicity of the Gospel. Paul simply wanted to know how the Galatians got saved, was it by works or BY THE HEARING OF FAITH. When you hear the GOOD NEWS of Jesus crucified, buried and risen, all you have to do to be saved is simply BELIEVE IT! John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”

Romans 19:17-21, God Promises To Avenge All Wrongs

Romans 12:17-21, “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

We've all been hurt by other people, and we've all hurt somebody along the way in life. Sometimes we don't intend to hurt others, but it happens. Sometimes people get hurt because of the consequences of something we did wrong, and it haunts us. And sometimes our direct actions hurt somebody. As believers we are promised by God that if we judge ourselves we shall not be judged. 1st Corinthians 11:31, “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” That means if we take care of the problem God won't have to. If we have hurt somebody, we are biblically obligated to make it right with them. This includes more than just an apology, but also if required, restitution and reconciliation. Matthew 5:23-24, “Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”

Matthew 12:26 says that God will hold all men accountable even for their words. Proverbs 24:12 says God judges humans according to our thoughts, “If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?” No man can outrun God! No human being can outwit God. Job 9:1-3, “Then Job answered and said, I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.” Job wisely understood that if a man were to contend with God, that he couldn't win even one in a thousand debates. God is always right dear friend. God never makes a mistake.

I am amazed as I listen to these nutty arrogant scientists these days, who are attempting to find the defects in the human genetic code and correct them. Literally, geneticists are combing through billions of genes and isolating certain genes, changing them in an attempt to create the perfect superior human being. It is frightening when we consider where this all might lead the human race. I cannot help but wonder sometimes, if some of the plagues we read about in the book of Revelation are now being created by meddling mad scientists. We read that during the future Tribulation period God will “destroy them which destroy the earth” (Revelation 11:18b). Men are indeed destroying the earth, from the toxic chemical dumping by the corporations to pollution of every sort that is hurting millions of suffering people in China and elsewhere.

Anyway, back to the main point of the article. God promises to avenge all wrongs. Everyone deserves justice, whether they are 3 years old or 90. Most injustices go unrighted in this world. Most indicted murderers never got convicted. Most rapists never get caught. Most stealing goes unpunished and the thieves never get caught. I have had thieves steal multiple times from me. Someone broke into my garage in Chicago and stole my air-compressor and my tools. I never found out who did it, nor did I get my stuff back. 

Someone also stole my car in 2004. I came out of my home on a Sunday morning to go with my family to church in Chicago, but our car was gone. Police found the car 2 weeks later smashed into a telephone pole in an alley. The car was damaged beyond repair, and I left it at the pound where the city had towed it. The thieves never got caught. I don't know who stole my car. Those thieves cost me over $10,000 in damages—$5,000 that I paid for my old car, and then I had to buy a new vehicle which cost another $4,800, plus all other involved expenses. The thieves popped the trunk, breaking the lock, stealing $200 worth of things I had bought and put into the trunk. God knows who those thieves are. I will see them again on their court day, when God judges them, and I will be vindicated.

I could mention a hundred more injustices in my life, but time fails me. I have GOD'S PROMISE that He will avenge all wrongs. When we can seek justice through any available court jurisdiction, I think we should. That is our right. But in many cases in life, the local court system won't have any jurisdiction to help us get justice. In these type of difficult situations it is tempting to take the law into our own hands and seek vigilante justice (which is really revenge). To truly be justice, every person must be given a fair trial by their peers. Well, God is omniscient and knows all. Hebrews 4:13, “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 9:27 warns all mankind that we have an appointment with God when we die. No one can escape the judgment of God. Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

Dear reader, are you prepared to meet your God? I am, by God's grace. I have made peace with everyone in my life. I don't mean that if you had an argument with a friend, and your not talking right now, that you should do something about it. That is something different. We all have spats and disagreements. That is just a part of being human, and we all process the way we handle it differently. I'm talking about the wrongs you've done to hurt others. Have you made them right? Do you owe someone money that you borrowed, but never paid back? Sometimes we are unable to settle a dispute, for whatever reason. The person could have passed away, or moved away and we don't know how to contact them anymore, et cetera. In these types of situations, God alone will need to settle the matter, and He will I assure you, because HE HAS SO PROMISED in Romans 12:17-21. Romans 12:19, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

Vengeance belongs unto Go alone. The reason why most people seek to executive revenge upon their enemies is due to a sinful lack of faith in God. When someone is mean to me, or hurts me, I have God's solemn promises that He will avenge me as His adopted child (Matthew 25:40, 45). You don't mess with God's children's!!! Not if you have any sense at all. God is not an absent parent and He sees everything that happens to every believer.

The King James Bible has much to teach about this important matter. 1st Thessalonians 4:6-7, “That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.” Again we find a promise in the preceding Bible passage, from God where He vows to every believer to avenge any sister or brother who has been defrauded (sinned against).

The practical lesson dear reader that I want you to take away from this Bible study is a precious truth I learned long ago, which is to always forgive those who hurt us and to commit the entire matter into God's hands for judgment. LET GO, LET GOD! Romans 12:21 admonishes us as victims not to be overcome with evil; but rather, to OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD as the Bibles says! I love that!!! In other words: Always take the high road!!!

We could all dwell on our painful past memories and allow them to make us bitter, angry and distrustful of the whole world around us. But I refuse to live that way, in fear and misery. I am a happy person simply because I choose to be a happy person. It is the things that we choose to focus upon in our mind that shape our future thoughts. This is why the Apostle Paul admonishes us all as believers in Philippians 4:8 to think on these things that are lovely, of good report, things of virtue and praise, and so forth. Our mind is a sponge, a truly magnificent creation by our omnipotent God, and we ought spend our precious time filling our mind with good reports, good music, ideas, education and inspirational things.

God will one day in eternity right all wrongs. You have His solemn PROMISE of it In Romans 12:19. God has trillions of dark, evil and unthinkable heinous crimes which still must be accounted for and judged. We still haven't been told the real truth about what went down on 911 when they New York City World Trade Center was imploded in just 10 seconds. How do 2 planes brings down 3 buildings? Not one skyscraper (not even partially) has perfectly imploded to the ground in just 10 seconds, let alone THREE BUILDING. To prepare for controlled demolition, it requires several months to prepare and then execute such a large scale operation. It is absolutely clear that demolition teams were involved, using military grade thermite charges to cut through the main beams of the WTC. 911 was an INSIDE JOB!

The Bush family were 100% complicit. They orchestrated the whole event. Vice President Dick Cheney told NORAD (Airforce fighters to intercept and destroy the threat) to stand down (to allow time for the 2nd plane to hit WTC 2). They made it happen, to get their own sinister uncongressional war in the Middle East. I could go on for hours just about the things I have learned since 2001, but it wouldn't change anything, they got away with it. What rejoices my heart is reading Ecclesiastes 5:8, “If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.” No one ever gets away with anything. The monstrous Bush family murdered 1,455,590 innocent people in Iraq, in an illegal war that congress did not approve. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” If you are an evildoer, that last Bible verse should scare the dickens out of you!

So whatever your pain is friend, leave it at the foot of the cross. Leave your burdens at Jesus' feet at the cross of Calvary. If you have wronged somebody, them go make it right. Apologize. Ask how you can make things right. If you owe someone money, pray them. If you cheated them, make up the losses up to them. If it is a different type of matter where nothing you can do will help the situation, then all you can do is to commit the matter to God in earnest prayer. There are too many unique situations for me to cover how to handle them all. 

1st Corinthians 2:16b says born-again believers, “HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.” Search in your heart of hearts how God wants you to handle a particular matter. Ask God for wisdom. But never take the law into your own hands. It is wrong for anyone to take upon them self the role of being judge, jury and executioner (which the ungodly newsmedia do every day). That is not our jurisdiction in life. The court system is there for a reason, as servants (magistrates) of God. They aren't always just and fair. 

In fact, sometimes the people working in the court system are crooked, thieves, liars and can be even worse than the criminals they prosecute! That is why God put Ecclesiastes 5:8 in the Bible, to encourage us as believers, with the confident hope in God's PROMISE that He always gets the final say!!! Men are not God. The most powerful and cruel men in this world still grow old and die, and then they MUST face God. Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” All men cannot escape God's wrath and judgment. The ONLY way of escape is through faith alone in the sacrifice of God's only begotten Son on the cross for our sins. Jesus was buried. Three days later Jesus physically resurrected from the dead (1st Corinthians 125:1-6). Any acknowledged guilty sinner who believes this 'GOOD NEWS' (Gospel) is saved instantly, irrevocably and permanently forever and ever. Jesus promises never to turn anyone away. John 6:37, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

The main bit of advice I have for you dear reader is to: Make sure you are saved. Things will not go very well for Christ-rejecters after death. At death God's mercy ends for the unbeliever. If you die in your sins (John 8:24), I can assure you that the last thing on your mind will be getting justice from those who hurt you. You're mind is going to be preoccupied worrying about yourself, knowing that Hell is going to be your eternal home. I shudder in horror when I consider that Seventh-Day Adventists foolishly deny the existence of a real burning Hell for all Christ-rejecters. Whether you believe the Holy Bible or not doesn't change it! You are not hurting anyone except yourself and your family and loved ones. Please get saved while you still can, before your time is up, and the Grim Reaper (death angel) comes to get you.

There is no unrighted wrong that won't be made right by God. God's holy nature demands justice, justice for all humanity. Justice requires death for sins worthy of death. Mark God's Word dear friend, there will be justice, you can count on it, or else the Bible is not true.
